Here's a picture of Emmy Rossum at the 68th Annual Tony Awards in New York City. Emmy's long and glossy dark brown hair is set in beautifully uniform, loose curls which are swept to the side, hanging down her shoulder.

To emulate this beautiful hairstyle yourself is relatively easy, but it takes a bit of practice. Be sure to practice this style a few times before you want to wear it to an important event. To achieve this look, apply blow-dry lotion and heat protector to your wet hair.

Part your hair to the side at the front and blow-dry your hair 100% dry. Then section off the hair with clips, curling the hair from half-way length with a large-barrel curling iron. Note that Emmy's hair is straight to about half-way length of the hair, and then it is curled.

Spray each curl with medium- to strong hold hairspray, especially if your hair is long, to keep the curls from going straight again. Note that all Emmy's curls are curled in the same direction to achieve that uniform look.

Once you're done, throw your head back and forth four times, gently comb your fingers through your hair, and sweep it to the side over your shoulder. Finally spray the hair with a medium-hold shine hairspray.
