TOP HAIR 2023: First Program Highlights
On the first weekend in April 2023, the program of TOP HAIR Düsseldorf will provide the expert audience with fresh input to get their "heads around" boasting nine hair shows, twelve congress lectures, and over sixty workshops along the lines of "Rock your head". The details of the program are still being refined at present, but some program highlights are already set.
At Hall 15's show stage, renowned hair stylists will once again showcase their creative hairstyles and stunning fashion in extravagant performances this year.
One of the highlights will be the Special Show "PLEAT by Allilon" for Davines at 8:00 PM on Saturday. The British training team Allilon, led by founder Johnny Othona, is one of the most influential forces in the industry and will make their debut in Düsseldorf with a spectacular show full of passion and precision. Josh Lamonaca, an Allilon compatriot, is a well-known figure on the stages of the world and is being featured again with his show "Josh Lamonaca x Mizutani Scissors: A Prisoner to Precision" at TOP HAIR this year. The barbering expert and hairstylist shines with true star quality and is applauded by the audience for his unconventional techniques.
Additionally, Mizutani Scissors will be showcasing their show "WE ARE ARTISTS, WE CREATE ART!" at the TOP HAIR stage, featuring the award-winning Romanian Lucian Busuioc for the first time. This stylist is an eight-time World Champion in the women's division and creates extraordinary and modern looks for the "Ladies Avant-Garde".
Another debut in Dusseldorf is the first live FX Experience by BaBylissPRO presented by their Ambassador Team on stage. Their mission: lots of surprises and the best advice, tricks, and trending hairstyles for the new year.
This year, New Flag will be presenting Chris Appleton x Color Wow. Chris Appleton is known for enchanting J.Lo and Kim Kardashian with glamour, charm, and amazing styles, and he will be sure to captivate the audience as well.
Featured for the first time in Dusseldorf at the TOP HAIR trade fair will be the Barber's Experience. The barbering culture and its celebrities will be honored with barbering, braiding, and hair care: "phat" entertainment with special guests from the barbering and hip-hop world.
A staple at TOP HAIR will, of course, once again be the "TOP Salon - The Challenge" award ceremony where the best hair salons from Germany, and for the first time also from Austria and Switzerland, will be recognized with awards in five categories. A new award is the Eco Future award given for social responsibility, sustainability, climate protection, and environmental friendliness.
The hairdressing industry is also facing tough times and many challenges this year - a reality that is also reflected in this year's conference program. In twelve lectures given on April 1st and 2nd, hair styling professionals can gain important management knowledge on topics such as hiring staff, New Work, online and social media marketing, and financial management to optimize and align their own hair salon operations for the future. Furthermore, topics such as Female Empowerment, cultivating inner strength, and living a healthy lifestyle offer opportunities for personal growth.
The top speakers Dr. Michael Despeghel, "Goldfrau" Babett Mahnert, Nicole Brandes, Anja Förster, Daniel Golz, Caroline Krüll, Lars Nicolaisen, Cenk Yesil "Cenkinz", Heiko and Anja Jenke have a hairstyling background themselves and are well-known trainers and instructors.
Over 60 workshop lectures on current topics will be delivered in parallel on the workshop stages. The detailed schedule will follow shortly.
"All in" at TOP HAIR - the complete program on one ticket
TOP HAIR - DIE MESSE will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Admission is allowed until 7:00 PM, followed by the opening show and the party. On Sunday, April 2, 2023, the trade fair is open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The slogan for trade attendees says: pay once, see it all. With one valid admission ticket, all items on the agenda are included.
