Baldheaded Men & Women
A: For every woman who loves a man with a shaved head, I can show you another one who thinks it’s a turn-off. Of course, the reverse is also true. With any hairstyle, there will be those who like it and those who don’t. This is why it’s a bad idea to try and select a style based on what you think will please others.
If you’re thinking of going for a shaved look, here are some steps to take: First, check your scalp for overall shape. Check for bumps and protrusions and ridges in the skull that might stand out once you’ve gotten down to the skin. A misshapen head can ruin the effect of a bald scalp.
Next, shorten the hair gradually. Depending on the texture of your hair, the look of your head may change dramatically as you go shorter and shorter. (See the above paragraph.) By going shorter in increments, you can sometimes catch potential problems before they become apparent and can stay with a shorter hairstyle to hide a problem head shape. If you start out buzzing the head to a zero with the clippers, you really have no choice but to complete the job, no matter what you find.
Three: take good care of your scalp. Treat it like you would your face, with cleansers, moisturizers, and sunscreen to protect the skin and prevent damage. Healthy skin on a bald head makes a better impression than sunburn and acne blemishes.
So, my opinion on whether women like men with bald heads is yes AND no. It is also my opinion that what you like is much more important.
