Big Curls
Tichina Arnold turned heads and turned up the volume with her medium-long wavy hairstyle at the 20th Annual Soul Train Music Awards in Pasadena on March 4, 2006.
It was her night to showcase her lovely side, and she did so in a truly opulent manner. The furry, puffy sleeves of her retro outfit had strong competition from the voluminous curls of her hair.
Cut into thick layers, her shoulder-length hair was styled into large, well-defined curls that tapered into wispy tips framing her face and head. The side part added structure to a thick fringe that curved diagonally across her forehead.
This style exuded music and rhythm, reminiscent of the iconic looks sported by the great divas of soul music over the years.
