The High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale knows how to own the red carpet and look fabulous while doing so. This glamorous updo is both wild and elegant, a perfect example of her style.

The secret to this look is the teased volume at the crown. Her long hair was gathered high on the back of her head, and after the roots were gently backcombed, the thick bundle was fastened with a neutral-colored elastic holder. Due to her layers, the shape of the ponytail includes short strands on top and very long ones at the bottom.

One longer strand was wrapped around the base of the ponytail to hide the elastic, and then everything was sprayed for extra hold, with the long fringe styled into shape. It's a great look for a movie premiere, prom, or just a special date.
