You're sitting in my chair, flipping through magazines, and you point to that perfect blonde long hairstyle with the sweet, straight-across bangs. It hits right below the shoulders, looks chic, and somehow manages to be both playful and sophisticated at the same time. Well, you've just discovered one of my absolute favorite styles to create.

This hairstyle is what I like to call a modern classic. It's got roots in the iconic sixties and seventies looks, but with a contemporary twist that makes it feel fresh and wearable for today. The length sits just below the shoulders - not too short, not too long - which means you get the best of both worlds. You can tuck it behind your ears for a clean look or let it fall forward for something a bit more mysterious and fashion-forward.

The bangs are really the star of the show here. We're going with a full fringe that cuts straight across the forehead, ending somewhere above the eyebrows. The beautiful thing about this style of bangs is that they frame your face like a piece of art. They draw attention to your eyes. Yes, they do require a bit more maintenance than side-swept bangs, but trust me, they're worth every bit of effort.

The overall shape of this cut is quite geometric and structured, which sounds technical, but really just means that every strand has a purpose. The perimeter of the hair is cut in a clean, straight line that creates lovely weight at the bottom. We're not doing lots of visible layers throughout. Instead, we might add just a touch of internal layering to remove bulk and help the hair move naturally, but we're keeping that blunt edge intact.

The hair color is stunning too. We're looking at a beautiful blonde that has much dimension to it. It's not just one flat shade. There are lighter pieces woven throughout that catch the light, along with some slightly deeper tones that add depth. This kind of blonde feels warm and natural, like you've spent just the right amount of time in the sun.

Styling this look is simple once you get the hang of it. The key is to blow-dry your hair smooth using a round brush, working in sections from the roots to the ends. You want to create a sleek, straight finish without making it look stiff or overdone. A paddle brush and your dryer's cool shot button will be your best friends for getting a glossy finish.
