Agyness Deyn hairstyle with tomboy elements

A talented hairdresser from Elements in Teddington is holding his head high having made it through to the Grand Final of the L'Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy. Joseph Cordero is now one step away from realising a lifelong career dream; to win the title of the world’s longest running, most stylish hairdressing competition.

Here Joseph explains the inspiration behind his striking hairstyle: "My look combines the modernity of Agyness Deyn with the iconic influence of Marlene Dietrich – it’s kind of how I imagine she would look in 2008; part tomboy and part glamour puss. The clothes styling combines a touch of 1980’s clothes styling with flashes of colour to add vibrancy."

For Joseph it seemed like an eternity before the judges delivered their verdict. Upon hearing his salon name announced, he leapt off his chair in delight. "I’ve been working towards this moment for a long time and yet when the announcement was made, it completely caught me by surprise," said Joseph. "It’s the best feeling in the world to achieve this and I hope my success provides inspiration to the junior members of the team."
