Up-Style for a Short Haircut Effect
At the 4th Annual Governors' Awards (December 1st, 2012) in Hollywood, Kelly Reilly appeared to have cut her hair short for the event. Yet, when you inspect more closely, you notice the loose, up-style that gives the effect of a short haircut.
With soft lines in the side-swept fringe, and the gently gathered locks from the sides and in the back, Ms. Reilly looks casually elegant and ready to face nearly any crowd of admirers. Her make-up includes a richly-lined eye and slightly-darkened lip stain in shades of pink that flatters her complexion.
Her gown is sleeveless, with a deep vee neckline and fitted bodice in satin-finished burgundy silk, with a sheer, black-lace caftan-style overlay that evokes an almost Grecian esthetic. Simple accessories in antique-gold and jet stones, with a simple, black patent-leather clutch give an almost Victorian air of elegance.
