The silky purple open back dress made Sarah Chalke's complexion glow, however the updo was not the best hair choice for her heart shaped face and a touch too mature for the actress.

With a few loose tendrils and more volume on the sides her appearance at the Disney ABC Television Group summer All Star party in Beverly Hill on July 17th, 2008 would have been much improved.

An easy technique to create volume at the crown is to tease the hair at the roots, then smooth it over towards the back where it connects to the rest of the hair in an airy and curly bun.
