Here's Emily Browning at the "God Help The Girl" New York City Premiere. Her naturally medium brown hair is enhanced with a golden blonde color. She has a noticeable regrowth of about 8 cm, which blends in well with the golden blonde. This is a very flattering, versatile and easily-maintained color, as having a regrowth is quite modern these days thanks to the resurgence of the ombré technique.

To create this look at home, apply a heat-protection product to hair that's been washed the day before. This is because hair that's been washed the day before has a thin coating of natural oil, produced by the hair-follicle, to keep the hair shiny and healthy. This oil makes for easily-manageable hair, as the sebum aids in keeping the style in place. Section the hair into six sections, and curl the hair with a medium-barrel curling iron, working from the back sections to the front. Note that Emily has a middle-parting.

When you've completed the curls use bobby pins to secure the hair at the back into a low bun, situated just above the nape of the neck. Remember to keep pieces out around the face, to soften the look. When you're done, spray the hair with a medium-hold hairspray.
