Dropped Crown Perm

Q: How do you do a Dropped Crown perm?

A: The Dropped Crown perm is very similar to what it sounds like it would be: a perm that is designed to maintain the minimum of volume and curl in the crown area. A dropped crown perm wrap is performed similar to a basic wrap with the exception that hair in the crown area is combed straight down and wrapped to come to rest over the nape area. The wrapped rods from the crown section of the dropped crown perm a left to rest over the nape area.

The entire lengths of the hair slices are not rolled. The upper halves of the length of the slices are left uncurled by the perm process. This perm wrap is only generally recommended for use with hair that is longer in length and layered in a long-layered manner.
