Melissa Benoist perfectly paired a long playfully-patterned skirt with a simple, yet sophisticated black turtleneck. There are some days when we want to rock voluminous, big sexy hair and then there are times we want to strut a more sleek and sophisticated style - and March 13th 2016, while attending the 33rd Annual PaleyFest in Los Angeles was the day Melissa chose to give her hair the latter style.

Some call it a sleek style while others prefer to label it as a wet hairstyle, either term is correct. Melissa is an excellent example of how to successfully pull off a sleek hairstyle because she has long hair, and the longer the hair is the more difficult it becomes to style effectively.

At first glance, this hairstyle appears to be simple but it requires one to really know their product (the sleeking serum) you will use. Be sure to begin on a fresh, clean scalp or it could look oiler than you wish. On dry hair, begin applying the serum to the root area and spread 3 inches down the shaft. If you make a mistake you can use a blow dryer to help dry it out.
