2005 L'Oréal Colour Trophy
On May 16, 2005, the L'Oreal Company will hold the Grand Finals portion of its annual
hairdressing competition, The 50th Annual L'Oréal Colour Trophy. Teams from across the United
Kingdom have already competed in regional events and now, the top winners from these events will
vie for top honours in the UK's most glamourous hairdressing competition.
Among the challenges: to design 'the' wearable look of the future, and the winners receive a
prize package including a trip to New York, photo assignments and will be featured in the pages of
international fashion and style magazines, Vogue, Glamour, and Gentlemen's Quarterly, and much
more.
Regional competition has been fierce, and will continue to heat up as the regional winners move
forward to the Grand Finals at London's Earl's Court 2.
In addition to the regional awards they've already won, the teams will go head to head for the
L'Oréal Colour Trophy (the classic women's style competition), the L'Oreal Men's Image Award (the
men's style award, launched in 1999), the Next Generation Award (open only to competitors under 25
and sponsored by Hairdressers' Journal), and the Glamour Award (sponsored by Glamour Magazine,
to find the 'most wearable style' for Glamour readers).
