The organizers of HAIR STYLE 2005 are looking back on an extremely
successful event this year: the entire Benelux hairdressing sector
homed in on Kortrijk Xpo on February 27th & 28th!
In spite of the weather conditions that were appalling, more than
20 000 hair stylists visited the fair: on Sunday they welcomed 12 283
trade visitors (60%) and on Monday 8 237 (40%).
This is about the same as for the HAIR STYLE 2004 event in Kortrijk
last year, and is without doubt an indication that the event has
reached its maximum potential.
As well the exhibitors as the visitors were very enthusiast
about the quality of the exhibits, the luxurious displays and
the visitor's facilities, such as a free shuttle service, the
relaxation zone and various quality catering zones.
Once again, HAIR STYLE has proved that it is much more
than simply a trade fair. To start with, there were the 165
exhibitors with stylish, exclusive stands showing their
newest products. The latest hair fashion trends were
presented to the visitors in spectacular demonstrations.
Visitors were especially interested in the "wellness" ranges of hair
cosmetics and massage techniques. Many of the stands featured 'big
hair' and 'curls' of all kinds.
On top of all this, trade visitors could purchase a wide range of
products in the very popular shopping zone, where exhibitors
displayed all sorts of accessories and small items.
The 2005 show programme was a very exclusive, top-level event!
The world's top hair dressing teams could be seen in action at HAIR
STYLE 2005 with creative and inspirational shows that everyone
could learn something from.
There was a full house for virtually every show. Top attractions were Toni
& Guy's "New Synchronise Collection" with really impressive hair styles,
Trevor Sorbie (four times British Hairdresser of the Year) and his one-man show, and Vidal Sassoon's "Icon Three : Spring / Summer 2005
Collection", presenting a new take on legendary cuts.
Belgium's own hair styling teams also received thunderous applause
for their presentation of Belgian hair fashion, including the Academie
Sanké of Antwerp and star stylist Nico Pelgrims of Louvain.
HAIR STYLE 2005 also hosted UBK, the Union of Belgian Hair Stylists, who
presented their first Belgian hair programme.
This first 'purely Belgian' collection presented 7 basic styles as a source
of inspiration and ideas that hairdressers can use for their own clients.
There is no doubt that HAIR STYLE 2005 succeeded once again in making itself the top event for hair stylists in the Benelux!
The sector is looking forward to the next HAIR STYLE event in Ahoy, Rotterdam, on 23 & 24 April 2006.
