Crimped hair was all the rage in the eighties and if you are lucky enough to get your hands on a crimper, this is the best way to achieve this look. The other way is to tightly braid the hair that you want to be crimped, so to speak, and let it air dry overnight. This is great because your hair is not succumbing to the abuse of a towel post-showering, as towels can rip and tear at your hair if you are too rough with it.
Use small rubber bands to secure the braids. The base of this hairstyle is thick and blunt all around so you will want to braid the bangs as well. Once the braids have completely dried, undo them and spritz your hair with “Spray Summer Waves Fabio Salsa” as you use a hair dryer to add volume to the style.
The dryer and spray will also help to tousle out the waves you have created. Secure with a hair spray or pomade.
