Double Hair Date

      Two ladies were such good friends for most of their lives that they would do almost
everything together. They even liked the same types of guys. In particular, Caitlin liked
John and Kylie had a crush on Mike for a little while. John and Mike both have jobs at
the mall. They are both twenty-three-year old students at the University in town. Both
men are attractive. All four were friends, but the knowledge of the attractions to the guys
is only one-sided. The twenty-two-year old ladies think that the guys have nearly perfect
bodies and never had the guts to tell mutual friends Mike and John their feelings. They
are scared to show their feelings, because of the possibility of rejection. The guys have
already told them in friendly conversation that they like ladies who look different than
the ladies. John prefers straight-haired ladies and Mike prefers blondes. Of course, both
men are smart enough not to tell the ladies that they are not attractive.

      Caitlin knows that she is a naturally curly-haired blonde and she may even catch
John's eye if she switched to straight locks. However, Kylie is a straight-haired brunette
and always wanted her locks to be dyed blonde and Mike is into blondes. This type of
scenario is too common in everyday life. Curly-haired ladies want the straight as a board
locks and brunettes want to be blondes. On a Friday afternoon, Caitlin said to Kylie "I
love your straight tresses and am considering having my tresses straightened one day
soon." Kylie said "Caitlin, thank you for the compliment. You know, I love your light
colored hair. I am thinking about going blonde myself." The two eventually decided to
go to the mall on the upcoming weekend to get their tresses done so that they could
have the look that they want and maybe even get the guys' attention.

      The girlfriends went to a beauty salon located in the mall near where they lived.
There were a lot of people there in the summertime at three thirty in the afternoon. Due
to the high volume of customers in the salon, the ladies were each told to be seated
until their name is called aloud. They were told to wait in the order that their requests for
a beautician was received. The wait was supposed to be around forty-five minutes to one
hour and fifteen minutes. The girlfriends had decided to shop a little before getting locks
done during the waiting period. They walked outside of a hat shop in the mall where
John and Mike worked and Caitlin and Kylie's luck was getting better and better as the
day went on.

      Caitlin wanted to find out John and Mike's work hours so that she and Kylie could
reach them later that Saturday with their new hairstyles so the girlfriends entered the
store. John and Caitlin had a quick conversation, because the scheduled hair
appointment was in another twenty-five minutes. John said that he and Mike would be
free to hang around afterwards as they sometimes would get together as friends. Kylie
could not talk to Mike, because he had a problem with his register. Caitlin did not ruin
the surprise that she and Kylie want to date the guys after they would get their new
hairstyles. Upon returning to the beauty salon, the girlfriends looked at each other and
said in unison "Let's get beautified!" They got their new hairstyles in the salon. Then,
they walked to the hat shop and showed off their new locks. John and Mike responded
pleasantly to the new hairstyles, expressing their liking for the new hairstyles in words.
Everyone was attracted to the right person and the group had a double date due to
Caitlin's straight hair and Kylie's blonde tresses.
