The fourth Dutch edition of HAIR STYLE is coming up on 20 & 21 April 2008 in Ahoy Rotterdam. HAIR STYLE is the most comprehensive event for hair stylists in the Benelux: a trade show with 170 exhibitors, lots of news and new products, the latest hair fashion trends presented at spectacular shows and Look & Learn workshops every hour. An all-round event that enables hair stylists to find new inspiration, discover the latest trends and network with colleagues. And above all, a day at HAIR STYLE is a great day out! All together, a must-do event for every hair stylist in the region.
 
NEW LAYOUT
HAIR STYLE 2008 showcases no less than 350 brands of hair cosmetics, salon fittings and supplies, hair extensions and accessories. For this fourth edition in the Netherlands, we have radically redesigned the layout. For example, we have introduced a lively new shopping hall and a black hair zone with informative, trendy presentations focusing on Afro hairstyles. At this 2008 event, we will be welcoming many exhibitors who are taking part for the first time. All their new products and innovations will be on display at the Innovation Awards stand.

Haarlijn Zomer 2008
Every year, the Gezamenlijke Nederlandse Kappers (GNK association of Dutch hair stylists) creates a hair fashion line for spring/summer and autumn/winter. This year, a group of top Dutch hair stylists will be presenting an extra hair fashion line at HAIR STYLE with colouring and styling trends for summer 2008. It promises to be a dynamic show, full of sun and high spirits and guaranteed to inspire and motivate us all!
 
Joico presents BERT DE ZEEUW
In conjunction with the Artistic Team led by Bert de Zeeuw, Joico will be presenting a spectacular show at HAIR STYLE. Bert de Zeeuw has been Joico s Artistic Ambassador since 2007 and he performs his duties with passion and dedication. Bert has wide international experience and comes into contact with famous names in show business, football, fashion and the music world. He gives seminars, shows and trend presentations all over the world, and the keynote is always wearable, versatile hair fashions.
 
Hairdo presents KEN PAVES
The American star stylist Ken Pavés was trained at hair icon Vidal Sassoon s academy and started his career with the fashion magazines of New York. Today he is the favourite hair stylist of stars like Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba and Céline Dion. These Hollywood divas and his muse Jessica Simpson, regard him as a real artist with hair. He will be staging a highly creative show and demonstrating what you can do with his Hairdo hair extensions. It will be everything you expect of an American Show, with a host of models and dancers!
 
Farouk Systems USA presents PATRICK KALLE & FRIENDS
After spectacular presentations in Warsaw, Cancun, Rome, Sofia and Helsinki, he is coming back home. For Patrick Kalle, Artistic Director of Farouk Systems USA and his team, HAIR STYLE 2008 in Rotterdam is a perfect opportunity to present their pioneering and virtually perfect collection, with styles that are commercially viable and extravagant at the same time. The keynotes are high-level technical skill and a revolutionary use of colour in their collection.

L Oréal Professionnel presents Kinki Kappers
As ambassadors of L Oréal Professionnel, Kinki Kappers will be presenting their cutting and colouring lines with twenty spectacular models and an audio-visual backing. Their vision for 2008 is entitled MOODS , with creativity, cutting, colouring and lashings of style as the essential ingredients. And of course, Kinki Kappers are always good for surprises.... Hair is schizophrenic".

LOOK & LEARN: COLORS
Demonstrations of the latest cutting techniques will be given at many exhibitors stands. And for those who are interested in the latest hair colour trends, the Look & Learn: Colors sessions are an absolute must! Practical workshops will be given every hour in a special theatre seating 300 in Hall 1. Here you can see the new colours and colouring techniques for the creation of trendy and wearable hairstyles in harmony with the spirit of our times and today s fashion. (The Look & Learn sessions and the shows are all included in the entrance price.)
 
HAIR FASHION AWARD
The finals for the Hair Fashion Award will be held on Monday afternoon 21 April at 14:30 hrs. This is a metamorphosis competition specially for students, in which their skill in transforming hair, make-up and dress will be judged. The final round will be staged on the HAIR STYLE podium, where the best young hair stylists in the Netherlands will compete for this coveted Award. A jury of experts from the sector and a jury drawn from the public will judge the final results on the grounds of wearability, linking in with fashion trends and the harmony between hairstyle, colour and styling.
