Misikko Marketing Offers Product Give-Away

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - As a relative newcomer to the hair product scene, Misikko Marketing started with a simple desire: to allow people to easily shop and compare the best in professional-quality styling tools and beauty products on the market today. From products like irons, hair dryers, and curling tools, the site is a one-stop source for many of the best names in hair styling tools today. And they are offering a special give-away to one lucky person who would like to win their very own top-of-the-line hair styling tool.

The prize for this give-away is a Corioliss Tri Curl Curling Iron. The iron is made of non-stick, tourmaline ceramic and uses negative ion and infrared heat technology to eliminate static and smooth the cuticle as it curls for crisp, shiny curls. It comes with three interchangeable barrels to allow you to create curls of varied size. It comes with a one-year warranty. (The prize has a retail value of $300.00 in U.S. currency.)

You can enter to win this iron in one of several ways:

  • Follow Misikko on Twitter (@Misikko)
  • Blog about the give-away on your personal website. (Be sure to link to Misikko and give as much information
    as you can.)
  • Become a fan of Misikko by clicking “Like” on Misikko Beauty on Facebook.
  • Join in the conversation on Misikko’s Facebook page: Comment on a post or photo; write on the Wall and share
your thoughts and comments, or ask questions of the Misikko experts on products, hair care, or recent hair
trends. (Just remember that if you can’t say something nice, you shouldn’t say anything at all.)

Potential give-away winners must be from the United States or Canada. The folks at Misikko will be selecting a winner soon, so act fast to get your name in the hat as often as you can by using the methods above. (That’s up to five entries per person.)

Fantasy Hair Takes to the Ring on “Hair Battle Spectacular”

Hair Battle Spectacular Oxygen Channel (www.oxygen.com) - The creators of “The Biggest Loser”, and “Beauty and The Geek” are at it again. This time, they’re taking on a hair-raising subject. The newest entrant into the reality/competition show market features Fantasy Hairstyles and their creators going head to head in Oxygen Channel’s “Hair Battle Spectacular”.

Hosted by model/actress (and former Baywatch babe) Brooke Burns, the show takes ten of the country’s hottest stylists and challenge them to deliver big and bold looks in Fantasy Hair designs. The stylists present their creations (as dictated by the weekly challenges) in pairs in a stylistic “battle” before the judges. One stylist will emerge victorious and the other stylist goes up for elimination. At stake is a chance to win the ultimate $100,000 cash prize.

The regular judges for “Hair Battle” are acclaimed and award-winning hair artist, Derek J., and celebrity stylist Lindsay Albanese. The two are joined each week by a guest judge who generally has a connection to the “theme” for the week’s challenge. Contestants’ styles are judged on creativity, execution and the total look of the model (hair, make-up and outfit), and the stylists are given the assistance of a fashion stylist and make-up artist to complete their vision for the look to accompany their fantasy hair design.

As with all reality/competition shows, “Hair Battle” is full of bold personalities, and the competitors identify themselves with nicknames (Fingaz, Minista, Valley Girl, Malibu, Cajmonet {think, “cash money”} and Sexi Lexi to name a few) that are meant to identify their sensibilities and show their personalities.

“Hair Battle Spectacular” airs Tuesdays at 10 P.M. Eastern Standard Time for those who can get the Oxygen Network.
