Haare 2009: Beauty Event Stays Right on Trend
Nuremberg, Germany - The “Haare” is the great event in autumn for all hairstylists, make-up artists and nail designers. In 2009 the trade show and host of the Bavarian Championships presented
itself with even more exhibitors, more space, a new Live-Styling – Lounge, a new action stage – and even more visitors. More than 14,100 professional attendees streamed into the Nuremberg Fair halls on both
Tradeshow and Championship days – signifying a growth of more than 12 percent compared to the comparable previous event in 2007.
When thousand of hairstylists come together on two days there has to be something going on. Otherwise the discriminating crowd specializing in fashion, trends and styling would not even show up. But they come. And
they are enthusiastic. “The “Haare” is once again the standard for what hairstylists want to see and experience through a trade fair and a championship,” says Andreas Popp, regional president of the guild. He puts
emphasis on the high level of professionalism of the visitors and the excellent know-how of the presenters on the stages and the competitors of the championship. “We saw amazing skill and until the end there was
full concentration. The Bavarian Championship has a reason to be the greatest of the German regional championships for hairstylists,” highlights Popp.
Inspiring Mix – not just for Professional Visitors
“The unique mix of shows, competitions, workshops, exhibits and professional information has once again been tremendously received by the visitors,” reports also Haare project manager Daniela Büttner.
She especially emphasizes the success of the new Live-Styling-Lounge, a salon exemplary outfitted, that sits right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the fair. “Inspiration for the own business, that is what
“Haare: offers masterfully,” says Büttner.

Get a Free Haircut in New York City
New York, New York, USA - Bumble and bumble is a name that many will recognize for their quality hair products. And now, the company’s training arm, Bumble and bumble: University, is putting out
the call for individuals to take part in their “Model Project” wherein candidates who are selected can receive free haircuts, free styling and free color services from the students of Bumble and bumble:
University.
Of course, the term “student” is a little bit misleading in this instance. These individuals are expanding their training and expertise beyond an established minimum. All BbU students have two years experience and
are already licensed practioners. Their attendance at BbU is to further their knowledge and learn advanced techniques to make themselves some of the best salon professionals in the country.
Interested candidates must complete a pre-evaluation form and be selected to attend a model call where their hair will be evaluated for suitability. When selected, the models are scheduled for haircutting
sessions. After the cutting sessions, models may be elegible for color sessions and all selected models may be eligible (and even encouraged) to attend styling sessions as frequently as possible.
It should be noted that the assessments of the models is about the hair and it’s texture, condition and length to determine the compatibility with the various cuts that are being studied and practiced at BbU.
The cuts are always tailored to the individual, regardless of its specific type. BbU acknowledges that at this time, some curly textures of hair are not suitable for this program and the styles and cuts being
practiced. Interested parties are encouraged to keep checking back for changes in the programs curriculum which would include these hair types.
Among the cuts being offered are techniques like:
• Short Layers
• Graduated Bob
• Razor Bob
• Long Layers: Scissors
• Long Layers: Razor
• Men’s Razor Cut
• Long(er) Curl Cut
• Short(ish) Curl Cut
The styling techniques being offered are:
• The Blow-Dry (styling with Flat or Round Brush)
• The Pony Tail
• The Chignon
• The French Twist
Parties interested in taking part in the Bumble and bumble University Model Project should visit bbumodelproject.com for full details and requirements as well as a downloadable copy of the
pre-evaluation form to submit for an invitation to the hair model call. Models calls are typically held twice a month on a Monday. Service appointments are typically scheduled Monday through Friday during daytime
hours, though sometimes evening appointments are available.
