Dubai - If you have a passion for fashion and want to know all about the latest looks, don’t forget that your hair style can make or break a look. The Salon Educators has invited the internationally
acclaimed myhairdressers.com team, which is made up of former Vidal Sassoon educator - and hair genius - Stacey Broughton, celebrity hairdresser Lee Stafford, top colourist Tracy Hayes and rising colour star
Bee Dixon, to share the latest trends and styles that are gracing the fashion world catwalks, but adapted for daily living.
Dubai’s first hair fashion show open to the general public, will be held on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October 2009 at The Shangri-La Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road.
It will be the team’s first time in Dubai and it will provide an opportunity for the hair experts to share their knowledge and tips on how to look “en vogue” but at the same time practical and manageable in day to
day life without having to run to a salon every five minutes to maintain the look!
The creative team, who list a number of celebrities amongst their clients will demonstrate the latest styles, cuts and colours on 12 models on stage before a live audience each evening, and you can watch them
transform their looks before your very eyes.
About The Salon Educators
The events are organised by Dubai based hairdresser Deborah Whitehead, founder of The Salon Educators, which she has set up to offer hairdressing training both to those who want a career in hairdressing and
existing hairdressers who are interested in furthering their qualifications and experience through regular workshops and seminars. By offering good practice and creative opportunities, The Salon Educators aims
to raise the standard and quality of hairdressing salons in the UAE, as well as their creativity.
Commenting on the event and her plans for The Salon Educators, Deborah said, “The glitterati of Dubai just love fashion shows and the latest catwalk trends. But just as important is your hair. It is the probably
the first thing that is noticed about you: it frames the face, completes a groomed look and reflects your personality and lifestyle.
Deborah continued, “By bringing leading hair experts to the UAE, hairdressers and customers alike will benefit from an input of new ideas and fresh approach.”
Hair and Beauty 2010 - Frankfurt
Frankfurt, Germany - Hair and Beauty, Trade Fair for the Hair Cosmetic Industry and the Hairdressing Trade, will once again be held parallel to Beautyworld in 2010. The synergies generated by
holding the two fairs concurrently could be clearly felt. The next trade fair for the hairdressing sector will be held on 31 January and 1 February 2010. The coming Hair and Beauty will be distinguished by a new
concept. “We plan to split the fair into three potent sections to take even better account of the wishes and requirements of exhibitors”, says Eva Olbrich, Director of Beauty Fairs in Frankfurt. All target
groups in the hairdressing trade are covered by three potent segments, Young Generation@Training, Talents@Work and Professionals@Business. “Hair and Beauty in Frankfurt is a genuine hairdressing show that brings
together all the different interests of a big family of hairdressers at the same time and place”, says Andreas Popp, President of the Central Association of the German Hairdressing Trade (Zentralverband
des Deutschen Friseurhandwerks) about the new concept of the fair.
In the Young Generation@Training section, trainees and young hairdressers will find a fashion-oriented area with workshops, creative competitions and job exchange.
Talents@Work is aimed at hairdressers who have been in the profession for a number of years and want to continue their training. Here, they will find workshops with celebrity hairstylists and a lecture area where
experts offer advice and practical tips. Additionally, a number of hairdressing colleges will present details of their training courses.
At the Professionals@Business section, hairdressers with their own salon will find an exclusive setting with premium brands plus a VIP lounge and a lecture area where experts will speak on subjects of relevance,
such as employee management and marketing the salon. As in 2009, Hair and Beauty will be held in Hall 5 of the Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre.
