Expand your Wardrobe

New horizons open up even when it comes to your wardrobe. Now you can wear those cool new blouse collars and sexy turtlenecks. Every major change of hair calls for a clothing makeover as well. Reward yourself for your big decision and your amazing courage with a couple of cute new outfits as well!

Who knows what daring moods you will find yourself in, once you have your hot new hairstyle! A whole new world will open up, and you will look at everything with new eyes. Just think of all of the great earrings that before were hidden in your long mane and now they can spread their sparkle unhindered and free. Scarfs and necklaces will also take on a new role in your fashion scenario.

Explore the Possibilities

Long hair looks the same pretty much all the time. You can wear it up, down or in a ponytail. With a short cut like a cute pixie style changes will happen all by themselves as the natural growth of the hair will give it a new feel after some weeks already. In addition there are numerous styling options with short cuts that long hair just does not offer.

For the office you can wear your hair in a more conservative way, sleek and neatly parted. A pomaded version of this also makes a great look for a festive night.

Add some gel and spike it up for a wild look! It's a lot of fun, and there are even colored gels on the market, along with glimmers, glitter gels, and sprays. There is no end to the creative looks you can come up with!

Add some curls with a curling iron, tousle the hair up for a stylish bed-head look, or go for a wet look with gel.

Hair color is also much less risky with short hair, and you will feel more at liberty to experiment with daring hues, bleaching, highlights, or temporary and permanent dyes.

You should get your short hair recut every four to six weeks to keep your style fresh. It's always a great opportunity to talk to your stylist about some structural modifications, perhaps an undercut or new texture. That way, you can enjoy the great feeling of a fresh makeover more often!

Just Do It!

A friend of mine recently went from having hip-length hair to a one-inch short pixie, and she could not be happier. However, the decision took her at least six months. She played with her hair numerous times in the mirror, pulled it back and up to see her face without its frame. Eventually, she took a deep breath and had it cut. A day later, she stated that if she had known how good and liberated her new short hairstyle would make her feel, she would have taken that step so much earlier.

So, don't lose too much time. It will always grow back! Enjoy the new freedom and all of the compliments that you will get!

And be honest with yourself. How often do you wear your long hair just rolled up in a scrunchy bun on your head? You deserve better!

Should the worst-case scenario happen, and you temporarily get a pang of regret and miss playing with the luscious lengths, there are always wigs to the rescue. Many beautiful styles in all lengths, all styles, and in all imaginable colors are there for you to play with.

Whatever you do with your hair, short or long, just make sure that you love it and have fun with it. Your style should suit your lifestyle and personality and, most of all, it should make you happy.

Enjoy!
