Toni&Guy
L’Oréal Colour Trophy 2008 Regional Finalist
Stylists from Toni&Guy in Camberley are holding their heads high having made it through to the Grand Final of the L'Oréal
Professionnel Colour Trophy 2008. Rachel Culkin, 21, and Scott Jordan, 19, are now one-step away from realising a lifelong career
dream; to win the title of the world’s longest running, most stylish hairdressing competition.
Rachel and Scott explain the inspiration behind their striking image: “We wanted to explore the kind of Gothic influences that were
seen on the catwalks of Gareth Pugh whilst retaining a feminine, beautiful feel. Sombre make-up gave the look an edgy feel while
flashes of dark colour in the hair added shine and texture.”
For Rachel and Scott it seemed like an eternity before the judges delivered their verdict. Upon hearing their name announced, the
team leapt off their chairs in delight. “It took us ages to get to the stage as we had so many supporters hugging us,” exclaimed a
clearly delighted Scott. “We are both so young and we can’t believe we’ll be representing the salon in such a high profile competition.
It’s an honour just to be at the Grand Final. Winning will be a dream come true.”
