Toni&Guy

Short hairstyle for an androgynous look

Stylists from Toni&Guy in Guildford are holding their heads high having made it through to the Grand Final of the L'Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy. Sara Elhaj, 23, and Emma Davies, 26, are now one step away from realising a lifelong career dream; to win the title of the world’s longest-running, most stylish hairdressing competition.

Sara and Emma explain the inspiration behind their striking image: “Taking our inspiration from the catwalks, we explored strong architectural shapes with androgynous influences. We kept the femininity of the look by emphasising the silhouette of our model using statement shoulder pads, a form-fitting dress and killer heels.”

For Sara and Emma it seemed like an eternity before the judges delivered their verdict. Upon hearing their name announced, the team leapt off their chairs in delight. “It’s a dream come true to be through to the Grand Final for a second year running,” exclaimed a clearly delighted Sara. “Winning the L’Oréal Professionnel Men’s Image award last year opened the door to so many incredible experiences. I hope that Emma and I are able to bring back the title once again and make everyone proud.”
