L’Oréal Colour Trophy 2008 Regional Finalist
Stylists from Essensuals in Bournemouth are holding their heads high having made it through to the Grand Final of the L'Oréal
Professionnel Colour Trophy 2008. Ben Orchard, 23 and Becky Branson, 24 are now one-step away from realising a lifelong career
dream; to win the title of the world’s longest running, most stylish hairdressing competition.
Ben and Becky explain the inspiration behind their striking image: “We wanted to create a strong bold look, with eye-catching hair colour
placement. The chic clothes styling encapsulates the trend for femme fatales on the autumn/Winter 08/09 catwalks.”
For Ben and Becky it seemed like an eternity before the judges delivered their verdict. Upon hearing their name announced, the team
leapt off their chairs in delight. “This is unbelievable. A dream,” remarked a delighted Ben moments after coming off stage. “This
achievement puts us on the map. As a new salon and this experience will be incredibly beneficial, giving us the status we deserve
after all hard work that has been invested to get us to the Grand Final.
