Brenda Shankey and Karoline Graham may have an instinct for style, but it was their meticulous study of Autumn/Winter 2008/2009 trends
that won them a place in the Grand Final catwalk. The team from Jason Shankey Male Grooming in Belfast presented a Men’s Image that
was bold in its execution and bang on trend for style seekers that are one-step ahead of the fashion pack.
Brenda and Karoline explain the inspiration behind their striking image: “Our vision for the look is ‘Dior-city boy’. Masculine,
tailored but inherently rooted in catwalk fashion. More and more of our male clients are looking to boost condition so we’ve moved
away from stiff styling products in order to create a simple, high shine look.”
Having secured their place in the coveted Men’s Image category, the girls now face an awesome challenge; but it is one that they are
more than happy to accept.
“It was an exhilarating feeling to hear our name called as this is only the second time we’ve entered the competition,” explains
Brenda. “The whole team is behind us and we’re relishing the opportunity to travel to London to compete against the best of
the best.”
