Faux Hawk

This is a men's look that is more readily classified as it falls into the category of faux hawk. The sides and back are layered and tapered with a curved line to give a rounded bulkiness to the silhouette while the length increases in the top and crown to the very middle of the scalp at the top. The dark brunette hair is accentuated in its hawkish upturn by a thick splash of faun blond in the center of the head.

The layers are textured for a choppy finish, and the styling is designed to emphasize the chunky texture of the look. Create the styling with a blow dryer and some sculpting paste directing and shaping the hair using the fingers or a round brush. A dab of pomade afterward worked through with the fingertips will add definition and allow you to create some added visual interest where desired.
