It may seem odd that a men’s hairstyle shows up in a collection populated otherwise by women’s styles, but with current trends showing
men’s styles getting longer and women’s growing shorter, many of the styling elements and techniques apply for both sexes. Here we
see a men’s short layered haircut that follows an oval variation of the circle cut. The perimeter follows a curved line around the head
and the layers are deeply textured with a “chipping” technique for a slightly-feathered look. Styling follows with a blow-drying
using a vented brush to create more defined tendrils and give the hair a subtle bend. A dab of pomade or other wax-based product
can be used to create definition and accentuate the textured layers. The finished look is rugged and masculine and very sensual.
