The last version of styling based on the same short haircut as photos one and two is a very carefully sculpted and structured look inspired by the ‘pompadour’ of yesteryear. The hair of the sides, crown and nape are smoothed upward in a curve that follows the skull’s contours. A fringe area where the length of the hair is backcombed into a bulky mass and smoothed into a roll. This style requires liberal use of a strong, structure enhancing product (usually wax-based) and a finishing coat of hairspray to create a sleek, smooth finish and maximum hold.
