Retouch Highlights

Q: I have just had my hair highlighted, but how long should I leave my hair until I get my hair highlighted again?

A: It usually takes 6-8 weeks before you need to retouch a highlighting service. The key factor is how fast an individual's hair grows. If your intent is to change the color of the existing highlights, or to add additional highlights of a different color or shade, the key factor is the condition of your hair.

If your hair is healthy, and in good condition, you should be fine to have new highlights added, or the existing highlights re-colored, at any time. Your stylist should perform a strand test before performing any chemical service on top of previously colored hair to be certain that the hair can withstand the process.

As long as the strand test shows good results, you should be good to go.
