The Look for Spring-Summer 2007
“Summertime and the living is easy”. So are the looks for hair this season. The winter brought
a muted sense of color and soft romantic waves. Now as the weather warms up, so do the colors and the waves are getting even wilder.
Blondes are truly golden. Take as an example Ms. Heather Mills and her multi-dimensional blonde tresses; or lovely Lauren Storm with her
curly faun-colored locks. And still blonde, but on the darker side is Thalia, whose earthy blonde waves are streaked with veins of pure
gold.
And ‘curly’ IS the watchword for style: whether they’re big, rolling curls or soft spirals,
the more there are the merrier you’ll be. So break out the hot rollers, plug in that curling iron, and grab the scrunching spray, you’ll
want to make the most of your hair’s natural wave. You may even opt to take the curls to their smooth and silk extreme.
Elizabeth Jagger, Tinsley Mortimer, Chloe Sevigny, and Isla Fisher truly embody the spirit of
the Spring and Summer hair trends. The colors are rich and radiant, and the curls are energetic and flattering. Ms. Jagger and Ms.
Mortimer are showing off their more casual and playful sides with their wild and wooly cascades, while Ms. Sevigny and Ms. Fisher are
positively glowing under halos of opulent color and satin-finished styles.
Now, if you want to hold on to your platinum locks or ebony tresses, there’s no need to worry
about being left behind in the style department. If yours is a signature look, don’t change it completely, just dress it up. Christina
Aguilera is back to her platinum “roots” after her brief stint as a brunette. And now that she’s got her blonde groove back she’s added
a touch of gold to the platinum shine, and dressed up the look with full-blown curls. And Kerry Washington shows the world that a touch
of carmel highlights in her cascade of black-coffee curls make for a stunning style.
So take stock of where you stand this Spring and Summer. The muted tones of Winter are fading
and it’s time to bring back the sun. Warm up your color and bring on the waves.
