Kristen Wiig is always a stunning beauty, but she was especially while she strutted down the step and repeat of the 2015 Film Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica on February 21st. Not only did she bring her hair A-game but she also brought the laughs and of course great fashion too.

Kristen is pictured wearing a beautiful black strapless Yigal Azrouel belted dress with a peek a boo triangle cut out, while accentuating with pieces of Jennifer Fisher jewelry and fabulous contrasting white Bionda Castana shoes. Kristen is not a natural blonde nor has she always been a blonde but boy, does this exquisite shade of blonde suit her well.

Kristen's oblong face shape is perfectly suited for a pretty pixie hair style, as long as she keeps the side swept bangs (which she has continued to do over the years). She has been slowly working her way to the pixie over the past few years as she had a lovely bob hair cut just last year.

Pixies are much more versatile than one might originally think. The flexible pixie haircut can be spiked up, slicked back or down, round brushed, curled or side parted and combed over as seen with Kristen, here. To steal her pretty pixie hairstyle, begin with clean hair (pixies can get bogged down quickly with sebum). Apply back comb in a bottle to the root section and blow dry straight up off of the scalp.

Next, round brush only the crown section up and under. Then part the hair off center while directionally blow drying one side down and the other, comb over. Now, if you wish, like Kristen's hairstyle flip a one inch section on that same side outward. Finish this style with a mega dose of holding power.
