Color Touch Plus - A Plus in Color Intensity

Wella hair model photo Darmstadt, Germany – The new subline Color Touch Plus by Wella Professionals introduces a new generation of intensive toning products. Color Touch Plus creates natural, intense color results with high opacity and up to 70 percent of maximum protection and care of the hair’s structure.

Due to the high demand for color services by women, Wella Professionals is committed to develop new, original and salon exclusive color services and innovations. With the new Color Touch Plus Wella Professionals manages to close a gap between the ordinary intense toning and a permanent color.

The new Color Touch Plus is an innovative extension of the shine-intensive toning series Color Touch and offers richer, more intense nuances, an improved coverage of grey hair and gleaming shine with a formula that is at the same time gentle and nourishing. Conventional semi permanent colors offer a grey coverage of up to 50percent. Color Touch Plus reaches 70 percent with richer, more intense and at the same time very natural results. At the same time the new line is just as gentle as the conventional semi-permanent products. Due to the intense pigmentation, higher opacity and lasting coverage Color Touch Plus is classified as a “demi-permanent intensive toning”. Color Touch Plus resists up to 24 washes.

Hair Style 2008

Rotterdam, Holland - HAIR STYLE 08 was held in Rotterdam on 20 & 21 April. In spite of the fact that it was the first weekend of glorious spring weather, an amazing number of visitors poured in to Ahoy for the 4th trade fair for hair stylists. After the doors had closed, the event had clocked up a very successful 22.853 visitors: 12 887 on the Sunday and 9 966 on the Monday. That was virtually the same number of visitors as in Rotterdam in 2006 and 9% more that at the last event in Kortrijk in 2007. The hairdressers of the Netherlands turned up again en masse and the atmosphere was exciting and dynamic!

With 170 exhibitors and an extremely varied programme, HAIR STYLE was once again the number one place to be for all hair stylists who want to keep up with the latest trends and find new inspiration for their art. The new colouring products, the latest design washbasins, trendy accessories and handy tools: all this and much more was eagerly examined and assessed by thousands of professionals. Exhibitors welcomed visitors to the most eye-catching, luxurious stands. This year, 31% of the exhibitors were new participants taking part - successfully - in HAIR STYLE for the first time! Leucan Launched its 2008 Shaved Head Challenge

Leucan photo Montreal, Canada - In the wake of last year's successful edition, in which more than 6,500 people shaved their heads to raise more than $3.4 million for children with cancer, Leucan launched today the 5th Provincial Edition of its Shaved Head Challenge at 10:30 in salon Continental Coiffure located at 800 Victoria Square in Montreal.
After actress Michèle Barbara Pelletier made a gesture of solidarity by having her head shaved for Leucan's children last February, she humbly and joyfully agreed to be this year's provincial spokesperson. She urges all Quebecers to follow her and have their heads shaved for a good cause on Sunday, June 8, 2008.

A Province-Wide Challenge

Initiated in 2001 in Montérégie by Mr. Serge Tremblay, the 2008 Shaved Head Challenge will be held simultaneously this year on June 8 at more than 25 event locations throughout Quebec. Leucan will hold the event at three locations in the Greater Montreal Region: Galeries d'Anjou, Fairview Pointe Claire and Carrefour Laval. The 2008 campaign president for Montreal-Laval, Mr. Serge Lemieux, General Manager, Newspaper Group, Transcontinental, will also have his head shaved as well as many of Transcontinental's employees. He invites companies, schools and organizations to hold their own challenge.

A Gesture of Solidarity

The Shaved Head Challenge aims at financing clinical research as well as Leucan's various services throughout Quebec. But beyond its financial objective, it's a gesture of solidarity toward children with cancer who undergo physical changes and hair loss during chemotherapy. This gesture has a major impact on the children. It helps them play down this alteration, accept their treatments and facilitate their integration back into normal life. This activity unites people from various backgrounds and takes place in public to sensitize the population to these children's daily reality.

Healing Life Together

Leucan hopes to surpass last year's objectives, which means more individual and group registrations. But its major objective is to raise more money to further help clinical research, which contributes to increase chances of recovery, and to enable Leucan to continue offering its services to children with cancer and their families.

“Ciao Bella” - Beauty that Catches all Eyes

Ciao Bella photo Darmstadt, Germany – The new System Professional Trendbook turns Italian lightness into perfectly styled hair

The new Trendbook by Wella System Professional has the fitting title “Ciao Bella”. Fascinating photos create an appetite for luscious and healthy hair. The luxurious book tells the story of beautiful, well cared for hair that attracts all eyes. With that the mood for flirting comes just by itself.

The professional photos in the new System Professional Trendbook were taken at the time of the fashion week in Milan, Italy, in September 2007. Germany’s Frank Brormann, Christiane Sturmayr from Austria and Nathalie Storch from Switzerland created dreamlike hairstyles in the Dolce Vita Style - feminine and sexy, a homage to Italian divas like Sophia Loren, Gina Lollobrigida and Claudia Cardinale.

Arno Ende and Timothy Biggs not only proved to be two amazing photographers for System Professional, but also two excellent connoisseurs of the Italian fashion metropolis Milan. Both of them, dynamic former models, had already put into scene the System Professional Just Men Stylebook by Top Men Stylist Markus Salm that hit the market in Spring of last year.

Ciao Bella is a Trendbook for the professional consulting at a salon and an inspiration for new looks - a flirt with beautiful and healthy hair.

The System Professional Trendbook “Ciao Bella” is available through the System Professional sales consultant. More information and System Professional Salons at www.system-professional.de
