Trends for Summer/Autumn 2006
As the summer wears on with temperatures that make fall seem that much further away, the heat seems to be making everyone think of
going lighter. Celebrities from all walks of Hollywood and the entertainment industry seem to be taking the opportunity to go shorter,
add layers and even brighten up their hair color.
One of the most recent splashes made in the media regarding celebrity hair is the story of Victoria Beckham’s (Posh Spice) new
angled-bob. Fueled by rumors that her hair was saying “good-bye” due to over-abuse from extensions, Ms. Beckham decided to lose the
extensions and give her self a smart, new ‘do. Ms. Beckham’s decision to shear away her troubles takes her from her long locks to a
sexy, sleek style.
Posh’s new look isn’t the only one seen in celebrity circles. “Desperate Housewives” star, Eva Longoria has decided to lighten her
look as well. Her long, layered sable waves have been brought up to a dark golden blonde with sun-kissed highlights, while the style
itself has been trimmed shorter and given smoother layering.

Cowgirl Couture Fashion Harnesses The Sass Of The Ponytail
Pony Up Hat Company has just introduced a hat made for gals who want to combine the cool comfort of ponytails with the sassy fun of
wearing a cowboy hat. These western-style hats feature a heart-shaped opening in the back of the hat’s crown that is surrounded by
bling. The Pony Up hat also has a second heart shaped opening in the brim to pull hair through.
These two ponytail openings provide at least six different ways to style your hair and keep it out of your face and off your neck. A
cowgirl hat would never classify as couture without bling. Each heart shaped hole in the Pony Up hat is surrounded by a custom
rhinestone jewelry piece with over 80 rhinestones between the two pieces. This hat is so unique that it qualifies for a patent, (which
is pending).
This item first hit the western scene in April 2006 when it was introduced in the Apparel Fashion Show at the Dallas World Trade Center.
Hollywood awards shows and national beauty pageants are full of women wearing their hair up in ponytails. Hollywood reporters are
touting the ponytail as being the chic and sophisticated look of the season. “Guys have always loved the sporty look of a girl wearing
her ponytail out the back of a ball cap. Girls like this look too, but love the convenience of putting their hair up in this sassy
fashion,” said Grace Wuensche, co-owner and designer of this new trend.
